Rooted in breath, open to possibilities
Rooted in breath, open to possibilities

A glimpse into my journey—past, present, and future ✨

What’s my heritage?

My lineage traces back to the Southern Pacific Islands of Polynesia, among the first inhabitants of Taiwan. My story is shaped by waves of colonialism and post-war modernisation and the rapid changes they brought. These histories live in me and they continue to shape how I see the world and move through it.

Why did I come to the UK?

I came to study language and culture. My early studies focused on postmodernism, postcolonialism, writing and cultural politics. Later, my path took a turn into marketing, where I built a career in the fast-moving world of software. Both fields—writing and marketing—have taught me how stories shape communities, opportunities and the way we connect.

How did yoga enter my life?

Yoga first came into my life through my mum, who introduced me to the practice in 1998. As an introvert who had always lived more in my head than in my body, yoga became one of the greatest gifts. It offered me a way to come home to myself.

Have I always wanted to teach yoga?

I began yoga teacher training twice—the first time back in 2003, though I didn’t complete it then. Now, in my late 40s, I feel the timing is truly right. My intention has shifted—towards sharing, supporting and holding space for others. Yoga has changed, and so have I. My practice carries the aches and pains of years lived, but also the resilience, joy and renewal that yoga continues to offer.

What else lights me up?

I love cats (though I grew up with house puppies), I find joy in reading, writing and above all, my son is my greatest blessing. He reminds me every day to stay grounded in gratitude.

What’s my dream life?

I dream of a slower, more spacious life: growing vegetables, collecting eggs from my own chickens, maybe a yoga studio tucked alongside. And beyond yoga, I’d like to keep sharing what I’ve learned across different fields, in new ways.

What do I wish for most?

To be surrounded by a kind and supportive community—where giving and receiving love and abundance flows naturally.

✨ This is a part of my story. I’d love to hear yours—what practices, people or moments have shaped your journey?
